The Sportsmen Classic line of travel trailers has been taking families on outdoor adventures for years. Their 10 various floorplans range from as short as 17 feet to just over 22 feet in length. The Classics are packaged so well that they can offer many residential style comforts without feeling cramped or claustrophobic to its owners. The 130RB is the smallest Classic offered, but it offers plenty of benefits. The dinette at the front features seating for four and a table for mealtimes, but it can be closed up and the dinette area converted to a sleeping area in a matter of seconds. The sofa offers additional seating capacity, and the bathroom has a large shower with a vent. The kitchen has a 2-burner stove, a compact fridge, and even a microwave. There is also a large storage closet by the front door that can be utilized for any number of items. The 160QB takes the dinette area and moves it to the side of the coach, replacing it with a queen-size bed up front. You have bedside tables and shelves on either side that also feature USB ports to assist in charging your electronic accessories. The fridge is upgraded to the full-size, 8-cubic-foot model. The bathroom also benefits from the addition of a sink and counter area. The 160RBT is the first of the classic fold-out tent models. At the front and rear are fold-out beds, over 6 feet wide, that expand outside of the camper when deployed and are enclosed with thick canvas and mesh netting windows to help keep bugs out while letting fresh air in. A regular dinette and 70-inch bench seat add to the seating options, and the kitchen now includes a nice pantry. The 170MB features a queen-sized Murphy bed up front that folds up into the front cap and converts to a sofa when not in use. This gives the owner much more usable floorspace when not sleeping. The 170MB also has a full-size bathroom at the rear and a long kitchen countertop area, proving plenty of room for food prep. The 180BH is the shortest bunk model at 21 feet, 5 inches. It packs two 28-inch x 75-inch bunks at the back, directly next to the 30-inch dinette. A large 54-inch by 80-inch bed spans the full width of the front cap. The 180RBT is another tent bed model, but it actually contains 3 different fold out bed areas, adding a side bed to the two on either end. A large bathroom with a sink and counter space is included, as is a full-size dinette and a comfy padded bench seat. The 180TH is one of the most unique floorplans in the Sportsmen Classic line, as it is a compact toy hauler model with a large fold-down ramp door at the rear of the coach. The 9-foot cargo area at the back allows you to load a variety of accessories, including kayaks and climbing gear; even a motorcycle or small ATV can be brought along for the ride. A convenient flip-up sofa folds out of the way when carrying cargo but can be used for additional seating while camping. Twin bunks at the front provide plenty of sleeping space. The 181BH basically has a similar layout as the 180BH, but puts the dinette on a slide out, which really opens up the floorspace and creates much more living area. The all-new 181SS model has the largest slide out of any Sportsmen Classic, and it houses both a four-person dinette and a five-foot-wide sofa. At the rear of the 181SS is a desk area, very convenient as a workspace, and above the desk is the TV mounting point, easily viewed from any of the seating positions. The 191BHK rounds out the collection, featuring a slide-mounted dinette and large bunks at the rear. With this many options to choose from, Sportsmen Classic can fulfill any camper's needs. Which one do you think works best for you?
The Sportsmen Classic family of trailers was the starting point for KZ's reputation for quality. The exterior aluminum is KZ Exclusive Tough Shield .030” thick, almost double that of their competitors. All the plywood used in the construction is 5/8" tongue and groove for stability and durability. Many of our competitors use flimsy OSB board. All the exterior baggage doors are 1 inch thick, again double what some of our competitors offer. The one-piece, seamless Tufflex roof is fully walkable and comes with its own lifetime warranty against defects. Black steel wheels and nitrogen-filled radial tires keep the miles rolling by smoothly. The powered awnings and exterior speakers provide a covered patio area and whatever music or shows fit your taste while outside. The large, 26-inch-wide doors make entry to the coach easier, and the Key-Alike programs for both baggage and entry doors keep locking up simple. Other Advantage Package features include a full-size spare tire, solar and backup camera prep, and scissor style jacks to help keep your camper stable. The mandatory convenience Package adds double entry steps on many models, and the friction hinged front door keeps the winds from slamming the door shut and potentially damaging it. Other standard safety items include the self-adjusting electric brakes. This keeps the trailer from swaying under braking, making coming to a stop much safer. You will also receive a standard LP tank, a digital TV antenna, and cable and city water hookups. You can also opt for the Off-Road package, which adds aluminum rims with 15-inch mud tires, extra ground clearance, heated holding tanks, and double entry steps.
KZ Sportsmen Classics have numerous interior features that make your camping experience fun and exciting. For entertainment, the Digital Media Stereo is Bluetooth compatible, so you can sync up and play music through the speakers, listen to local radio, and play CDs. When watching television, the center can also play any DVDs you want to bring along. The flooring throughout is upgraded residential-style linoleum, ensuring years of quality service. The kitchens, while compact, are very efficiently designed, with nothing being too far out of reach. Seamless countertops provide a solid workspace to get dinner ready, and the single-bowl sinks are very deep. Standard 2-burner range tops use clean-burning propane to heat any variety of meals, and the microwaves add more cooking capacity. Large 8-cubic-foot refrigerators give you plenty of room for groceries. The rail-style cabinet doors have modern pull handles and give plenty of space for storage, as do the large pantries and storage closets. LED interior lighting provides a natural glow throughout the cabins, and all the windows have very nice residential-style blinds. In the bathrooms, all the showers are floor-to-ceiling and feature exterior vents to let the steam out. All the toilets feature convenient foot flush capability, keeping your hands free. You can look out the front window and gaze at the sky while in bed. There are also 110-volt plugs and US ports in all Classics, allowing the use of additional appliances or recharging your electronic accessories. The restaurant-style dinettes are wide and accommodating, as are the sofas. You will hardly feel like you are “roughing it” with these interiors
While there are many small trailers for sale, none provide their owners with a better combination of towability, amenities, and value than the KZ Sportsmen Classic series.
