Larry McClain believes the adage that " One rarely succeeds at anything, unless he has fun doing it". With this belief and convinced of a rising interest in family togetherness, Larry started a business in Oklahoma City selling camping trailers in 1963.
Constant perseverance and Larry's determination to make McClain's RV "the preferred family camping source" helped him survive the energy crisis of the 70's and other economic upheavals. Through all this McClain's RV continued to grow.
In 1972 McClain's RV moved to the current location of McClain's RV superstore OKC West. This was a larger and highly visible interstate location, that offered easy access and a large selection of products and services.
The growth and expansion moved south to Texas when McClain's RV purchased an existing Winnebago dealership in north Dallas in 1989.
McClain's strong commitment to quality products and customer satisfaction have enabled the company to grow. Today McClain's RV encompasses acres and acres of RV's spanning 6 dealerships in Oklahoma and Texas.
